Class 7 Maths Solutions provides chapter-wise solutions to all the chapters in the Class 7 Maths book. There are about 13 chapters each of which has been covered separately. Each chapter has its importance, therefore students are advised to go through each chapter in serial order as it is mentioned in their textbook to get a better understanding of the chapters and their topics

Chapter 1-Integers

You have already learned about Integers in Class 6 Maths. In Class 7 Maths you will carry forward what you already know and add more to your knowledge of integers. In this chapter, you will study various properties associated with the addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of integers. Some of the properties discussed in this chapter are Closure Property, Commutative Property, Associative Property, Distributive Property, Additive Identity, Multiplicative identity and many more.

Chapter 2-Fractions and Decimals

Fractions and Decimals is the second chapter in the Class 7 Maths book and is also a very important chapter. This chapter includes recalling important concepts about fractions like addition and subtraction of proper, improper and mixed fractions from the earlier classes and new things which you are going to learn in this chapter are multiplication and division of fractions as well as decimals by whole numbers, fractions and decimals. You will also find the use of the operator ‘of’ in this chapter.

Chapter 3-Data Handling

Data Handling is all about collecting, recording and organizing data so that data will be made easy to understand. In this chapter, we will learn about how to find the central tendency of a group of data or observations by calculating the Arithmetic Mean, Mode and Median. This chapter will also explain to you how to put information into a table and then visually represent that data in form of a Bar Graph and a Double Bar Graph.

Chapter 4-Simple Equations

This chapter discusses what equations are and how you can use constants, variables and operations to form equations. Here in this chapter, you will learn various methods of solving equations by using the hit and trial method by simple transposition of terms from one side of the equation to another. It also has an exercise in which we have to convert statements into simple equations and then solve those equations to give the solutions to the problems.

Chapter 5-Lines and Angles

This chapter recalls what lines, line segments and rays are and how angles are formed. Some important concepts covered in this chapter regarding angles are complementary angles, supplementary angles, adjacent angles, vertically opposite angles and linear pairs of angles. Other topics covered here are intersecting lines, parallel lines, transversal lines and various angles made by a transversal. This chapter also teaches how to recognize different angles created by transversal line.

Chapter 6-Triangle and its Properties

This is another important chapter and you will learn here about medians and altitudes of triangles. It covers the angle sum property and exterior angle property of a triangle. It also readdresses some points about an equilateral and isosceles triangle. Other topics covered in this chapter are the property of the length of sides of a triangle, right-angled triangle and Pythagoras’ theorem which is considered to be the backbone of mathematics.

Chapter 7-Comparing Quantities

Class 7 Maths Solutions also covers the chapter Comparing Quantities. In this chapter, you will study fundamentals that are meant to be considered when comparing different quantities. This chapter also discusses how you can use percentages to compare quantities. Now you have come to chapter 9 with the name Perimeter and Area. Here you learn to find the area and perimeter of a parallelogram and a triangle by using their respective formulas. The last exercise of this chapter is solely kept for the topic circles where you can find questions related to finding the area and circumference of circles. Chapter 10-Algebraic Expressions

In this chapter you will learn about how you can use constants, variables and operations to form Algebraic expressions. Chapter 12-Symmetry

This chapter introduces you to an important concept of geometry known as symmetry. Learning about symmetrical figures and lines of symmetry are some topics you can find in this chapter. You will learn the angle of symmetry, the angle of rotation and the order of rotational symmetry of various polygons and shapes. Chapter 13-Visualising Solid Shapes

You will also learn how you can use nets for building 3d shapes. Here you will also find how you can use oblique sketches and isometric sketches for drawing solids on a flat surface. Most importantly you will learn to visualize top views, side views and oblique views of various solid shapes.
