Class 9 Maths Solutions
Maths is a subject where students often need some guidance to get them through it and in addition, they are overwhelmed by the vast syllabus adding to the problem of dealing with the subject. But now things are changing a lot both for the good of the students and the teachers with the implementation of the new National Education Policy 2020. Now the CBSE is working on reducing the education burden on students by rationalising the textbooks of all subjects across various classes. Class 9 Maths textbooks which earlier had 15 chapters now only have 12 chapters and in addition to that, many more topics have been dropped out of the new textbook. Class 9 Maths Solutions is an effort to provide students with a medium where they can find chapter-wise solutions to their problems.
Chapter 1 Number System
Chapter 2 Polynomials
Chapter 3 Coordinate Geometry
Chapter 4 Linear Equations in Two Variables
Chapter 5 Introduction to the Euclid’s Geometry

Chapter 12 Statistics
Class 9 Maths Solutions contains a total of 12 chapters each dealing with a specific topic and making a solid foundation for the students for the higher classes. Students should pay special attention to the chapters like Triangles, Quadrilaterals and Circles because these are the chapters where most of the students are found struggling.
1. Number System
As you have already studied rational numbers in the earlier classes and now here in this chapter, you will learn about irrational numbers and real numbers. An interesting thing you will learn in this chapter is that rational and irrational numbers combine together to form real numbers. Other topics covered in the chapter are a decimal expansion of rational and irrational numbers, distinguishing between rational and irrational numbers by looking at the decimal expansion of numbers, plotting irrational numbers on the number line, applying various operations on real numbers and application of laws of exponents on real numbers.
2. Polynomials
This chapter is quite familiar to you as you are going to deal with algebraic expressions which you have studied in earlier classes. Here you will learn about terms, degrees and coefficients of variables of various polynomials. You will also come across zeros of polynomials and roots of polynomial equations. Another important topic in this chapter is the factor theorem and using factor theorem for factorisation of polynomials. This chapter also introduces you to the identities and how you can use them to factorise polynomials.
